Date of last review: 9 July 2025
Lufthansa Seeheim places a high priority on digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are committed to offering all users an inclusive online experience, in full alignment with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and all applicable accessibility standards. These include EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as well as the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) and the corresponding Accessibility Strengthening Ordinance (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsverordnung – BFSGV). Our goal is to make our digital services easy to use and understand for everyone.
Scope of this Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to the services covered by the BFSG that Lufthansa Seeheim GmbH offers on the website www.lufthansa-seeheim.de. It was created on 27 June 2025 and will be reviewed and updated as necessary.
Description of the Service in accordance with § 1 (3) in conjunction with § 2 no. 26 and Annex 3 of the BFSG
Lufthansa Seeheim GmbH is a hotel company specializing in conferences and events, based in Seeheim-Jugenheim. Its range of services includes the provision of accommodation, gastronomic services (restaurant, bars, banquets), event and conference facilities, as well as supporting services such as parking, fitness, pool and sauna areas, and Wi-Fi. These services can be booked and managed online via the hotel’s website, by phone, by email, or on-site.
Lufthansa Seeheim primarily caters to business travelers and conference guests and is available to both internal companies of the Lufthansa Group and external clients. Detailed information about the services offered is available on the hotel’s website at www.lufthansa-seeheim.de.
Descriptions and Explanations Required for Understanding the Delivery of the Service
Before booking a stay via our website, consumers can first obtain information about different room categories, conference facilities, gastronomic services, and additional services such as social programs or the recreation area. After selecting the travel dates, room, and any additional services, a personalized offer is displayed.
The booking is confirmed by clicking the “Book now” button. Consumers then receive a booking confirmation by email and, if needed, additional information about arrival, check-in, or booked services.
Detailed information about the stay, on-site dining, the equipment of conference rooms, and other services can be found on our website at www.lufthansa-seeheim.de.
Conformance Status
Based on our most recent evaluation, the website www.lufthansa-seeheim.de is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, as referenced in the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). This means that significant portions of the website already meet the applicable digital accessibility requirements, although there are areas that still require improvement to achieve full compliance. We are actively working to address these remaining issues.
Identified Accessibility Issues
Despite significant efforts to make the website accessible, we have identified that the following content and functions are not yet fully accessible. We are actively working to resolve these issues:
- Some images are missing alternative texts or have incomplete ones.
- Color contrasts do not consistently meet WCAG 2.1 (AA) requirements.
- Some PDF documents are not fully accessible
- Some interactive areas are not fully operable via keyboard or accessible for screen readers.
- Not all form elements have programmatically determinable labels.
- In some cases, the focus order is not logical, and the keyboard focus is not clearly visible.
- For some controls, the accessible name does not match the visible name.
- Non-descriptive links: links such as “Click here” or “More” are unclear.
- Third-party content: embedded third-party tools may not fully comply with our accessibility standards.
A comprehensive remediation plan has been initiated to address these issues. The website currently runs on the WordPress CMS. A complete website relaunch is planned for 2026, during which accessibility will be systematically considered and implemented from the outset. Until then, accessibility improvements will be implemented incrementally across the platform once they have been completed and thoroughly tested.
