For what type of events is Seeheim suitable?
The layout of the technical and other rooms within the Conference Hotel Lufthansa Seeheim are multifunctional and are thus suitable for event of all dimensions – irrespective of whether you are planning a kick-off-meeting, further educational seminars or a festive occasion.
How many Training and Conference Rooms are there, how big are they and what are their functions?
You have a choice of more than 80 seminar rooms between twelve and 100 square metres in area. They are equipped with state-of –the-art media technology and can be used for various purposes by between four and 100 persons. Panorama windows allow a free view of the Rhine plain and of generous terraces that extend the training area out into the open in the summer. In addition there are five multifunctional conference rooms that can be adapted to conform to individual conference requirements.
How many conference participants can the largest event room hold?
The Bonhoeffer-Hall has a capacity for 600 guests in an area of 613 square metres when the chairs are arranged in rows or for up to 400 persons sitting around round tables each accommodating ten persons. The room may be divided into three sections.
Are the conference rooms bright enough and how are they fitted out?
All seminar rooms have been designed in accordance with teaching psychology findings of the Fraunhofer-Institute. They have windows reaching down to ground level and are flooded with light. Transparent materials and inspiring colours characterise the high-quality design.
Are there any possibilities to withdraw in order to conduct individual or group discussions?
Seating arrangements and withdrawal areas exist in the corridors. “Coffee points” throughout the entire training area also offer an opportunity for casual conversations. When the weather is good, generous terraces and pavilions entice visitors into the park.
How do you support events on the spot?
You as the organiser can rely upon our professional service –from both a technical and a human point of view. Our Meeting Purser are also available to you as a contact and support person for organisation and technical matters for the duration of the entire event.
Is there a conference package available?
Yes, the package “Elements classic”. It encompass basic technical equipment including a beamer as well as midday and evening meals including soft drinks. Additional components can be booked on request. Please also ask for our sustainable conference package or for our half-day package.
Where can I view menus and prices?
We have listed all our conference and congress offers for you in a clear, easily understandable fashion in our Conferencebrochure. In addition to this, our event team will be pleased to advise you individually.
How many rooms are there in the conference hotel?
A total of 483 rooms of varying categories are available to our guests: single, double and executive rooms. These differ in size and fittings. For more information: Conferencebrochure
What kinds of restaurants are there in the building?
We offer an innovative cuisine with meals cooked on the premises in various gastronomic areas – ranging from business-menus to finger-food and theme buffets. Our eight-strong “Food & Beverages” team is well-equipped to meet the preferences and individual customs of our international guests.
What kind of leisure activities are on offer?
At the end of a day’s training you can relax by jogging or bicycling in the fresh air. Directly on our doorstep – in the Bergstrasse-Odenwald nature park–one finds a well-developed and well-signposted network of hiking and cycling paths. It is possible to hire mountain-bikes. In the evenings, our guests enjoy meeting colleagues at the "seeheim´s central bar" or for a game of bowls. Darts, table football and pool billiards are also available. Those who wish to be less active may withdraw to the vinotheque, the fireside lounge or the library. Also well worthwhile are excursions into the surrounding areas with their historical natural landscapes, a trip to nearby Heidelberg or shopping in Frankfurt.
Are sporting activities possible in the building?
Of course. In the Fitness Centre the guest can train with modern cardio-and power sports equipment – an indoor swimming pool and a sauna also contribute to recovery.
How good are the traffic connections between Seeheim and Frankfurt airport?
Frankfurt airport is a 30 minute drive by car away from the Conference Hotel: Seeheim is located directly on the Autobahn A5 (Heidelberg – Frankfurt am Main), exit no. 28 (Seeheim-Jugenheim) – Navigation: Seeheim-Jugenheim, Lufthansaring 1. Directions are available here for downloading. We also offer those arriving by air and rail a free shuttle-service from the airport bus station, (Bay 23, Terminal 1 arrival level, concourse A).
Are there any shopping possibilities?
Our lobby shop resembles a small convenience store. Snacks and Sweets can be found here alongside newspapers and souvenirs. We also offer a wide range of useful articles that are easily forgotten and then sorely missed: toothbrushes and tooth paste, shirts, ties and socks. In addition there is a wide selection of perfume.
Is car-parking available?
More than 500 parking spaces are available to you in our parking garage.
Are the conference rooms air-conditioned?
Yes. All training and seminar rooms are cooled and aired in an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient manner. Cold water in geothermal storage tanks ensures the building need not be fully air-conditioned in a conventional manner.
Can conference rooms also be booked for evening events?
Yes, all five multifunctional event rooms and the Bonhoeffer-Hall may of course also be booked for evening events.
Is it possible to engage a technical services provider of one’s own choosing?
Of course. We do, however, recommend you engage our own in-house media services provider in order to ensure your event passes off smoothly and without any mishaps. Our employees know all the requirements and have the necessary know-how to be able to exploit the technical possibilities to your uttermost satisfaction.
Is Lufthansa Seeheim barrier-free?
All areas within the Conference Hotel Lufthansa Seeheim are also accessible to wheel-chair users without any hindrances – all norms and directives have been fulfilled and integrated into the building. The conference hotel also has two completely barrier-free designed two-bed rooms.
Which means of presentation are available?
The means of presentation fulfil all the demands made upon a modern training environment: Flip chart, metaplan board and beamer are standard. Should you wish, we do of course also provide simultaneous interpreting equipment.
Are the building and the restaurant open to the public?
Yes Lufthansa Seeheim is open for events such as congresses, conferences and seminars, but also for overnight guests and visitors to our restaurants. A choice of various dishes is available here. The concept is thus aimed at conference guests whose time is often limited at midday and in the evenings – simple procedures also help our international public to feel at home.
Does Lufthansa Seeheim offer function rooms for private celebrations?
Yes, Lufthansa Seeheim has a range of function rooms which are suitable for private celebrations. Whether for a wedding ceremony, a birthday party or a baptism – we like to make sure that you will have a great celebration. Enjoy beautiful moments with your family and your friends.
Are dogs also welcome in the hotel?
Dogs are welcome in our Hotel. We ask for your understanding that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area. The overnight for your dog is charged with € 30,00 per night.
Do you offer lunch and dinner beyond the conference package?
Each room reservation always includes the breakfast buffet. If you would like to add lunch or dinner you can book this on site at the reception. Our lunch buffet includes soft drinks and a choice of coffee- and tee. In our dinner buffet also included you´ll find house beer as well as a changing selection of red- and white wines.
